Dash is your Slack app for ctrl.io, sharing a helpful selection of notifications and nudges that help the team stay on top of their deals without being overwhelmed.
Managers can choose to be notified when:
- A new update has been added on a triaged deal
- A triaged deal has gone 7 days without any feedback
- A triaged deal is marked as closed-lost
- A triaged deal value is dropped
- A triaged deal close date is pushed out of quarter
Reps get notifications:
- When a manager leaves a new comment on one of their deals
- Weekly at a set time/day to review and update their triaged deals
- If they move a non-triaged deal into a late stage
Connecting the integration
The process has two parts:
First, a slack admin who is also a manager in ctrl needs to install the app by using the link in their profile menu:

Follow the instructions onscreen to give Dash permission to show in your Slack workspace.
This makes the app available for people in your Slack account.
Each person using the Slack app will need to open the app in Slack and use the Login button to connect their Slack account with their ctrl account to get started:

Troubleshooting
If someone in the team doesn’t see the app listed in their sidebar, they should go to the workspace name > tools & settings > Manage apps:

From there, they can choose the ctrl.io app, go to “App details” and in the app page use the “Open in Slack” button under the logo.
Choosing your notifications
We’ve used filter criteria that means you should only be notified on important deals, but you can opt out of individual notification types via the settings area in ctrl.io, accessed from your profile menu.
These preferences are saved individually for each manager, so if someone else in your team wants to change which notifications they see they need to update it via their own account.
